Dog-Friendly Policy

At Summerhill Garden Centre, we love our four-legged friends just as much as you do! We welcome well-behaved dogs to join you during your visit to our garden centre. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please adhere to the following guidelines:

• • Leash Requirement
    For the safety of all visitors, your dog must be kept on a short leash whilst on the premises.

• • Behavioral Expectations
    Dogs should be well-behaved and non-aggressive towards people and other animals.
    If your dog exhibits signs of stress, anxiety, or aggression, please be considerate and remove them from the premises.

• • Clean-Up Responsibility
    Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

• • Restricted Areas
    Dogs are not permitted in Summerhill’s Sweet & Treats or L’Oliveta Restaurant.
    Recognised Assistance Dogs are permitted to accompany their owners in all areas

Some points to take into consideration:

• • Water Bowls
    Our on-site pet shop, Pets Corner, provide bowls of drinking water for your pooches.

• • Quieter times
    For a more relaxed experience, we recommend bringing your dogs during quieter times, such as weekdays or early mornings, when foot traffic is lighter.

• • Seasonal Considerations
    Summer Caution: It becomes very hot in certain inside areas of the Garden Centre during warm summer days (almost like a greenhouse!), please be mindful of the temperature.
    Christmas Season Note: Please be aware that the Christmas period is an extremely busy time for us. Please exercise caution, as there may be glitter and broken bauble pieces on the ground. Plan your visit accordingly to ensure a comfortable experience for both you and your pooch.
