Bulbs and Seeds

Discover our range of beautiful spring and summer bulbs, each containing everything needed for a fabulous flower display

From speedy veg to beautiful flowers, we have thousands of types of seeds. Ask our friendly team for some advice and guidance.

Garden bulbs and seeds are the perfect way to add dramatic colour to the garden and to ‘grow your own’ stock.

You can plant up pots and containers or fill up entire borders with clumps of these exquisite flowers, speedy veg and greenhouse staples such as tomatoes and runner beans. Each one contains everything needed for a fabulous flower display; you simply need to provide the best growing conditions for the bulbs. Equally, we stock a comprehensive range of seeds from Thompson & Morgan, Sutton Seeds, Johnsons, Mr Fothergills and Sarah Raven, including common varieties as well as less common ones.

Spring bulbs are available in plant form from the beginning of November to the end of March and in packet form Autumn to the end of January. Summer varieties i.e. Dahlias, Begonias, Gladioli etc. are available in packet form from the beginning of December to the end of March.

And if you haven’t got a garden, we have got that covered too. Seeds such as Chinese bean shoots and pea shoots are perfect for growing indoors. These are highly nutritious, tasty for all year-round salads and so easy to grow.

If you need help and guidance with your selection our team of experts are on hand to advise you.

Pip's Top Tip

When to plant bulbs depends on when they bloom. Spring-blooming bulbs, such as tulips and daffodils, should be planted in September or October when the soil temperatures have cooled. Summer-blooming beauties such as dahlia and gladiolus are best planted in the Spring after all danger of frost has passed.
