Office Administrator / Shop Floor Assistant

We are looking for a flexible individual, working primarily within the office, but may be required to cover the shop floor as and when they are needed. If you enjoy being kept busy, then this could be the role for you!

Working days: 
3 days a week, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Bank Holidays included.

Working hours:
Saturday & Monday, 8.45am – 4pm & Sunday 9:45am – 4pm, January to February
Saturday & Monday, 8.45am – 5pm & Sunday 9:45am – 4pm, March to December

17 days holiday in a full year. There is a holiday restriction time which runs through April, May & the last 2 weeks in September.

This will be a very busy and varied role where duties will include:

  • Checking paperwork
  • Stock adjustments
  • Stock labelling for the departments
  • Producing point of sale signage for the shop floor
  • Filing
  • Answering telephones
  • Pricing stock
  • Serving customers
  • Lifting, carrying, pulling trolleys, loading & unloading stock
  • Using ladders
  • General housekeeping such as cleaning and vacuuming
  • Carrying out any reasonable ad-hoc requests

The skills required to successfully do this job include:

  • Administration experience would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge using Microsoft office applications.
  • A structured approach to paperwork and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and staff of all levels.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Retail experience.

We will issue uniform, safety footwear and PPE for when working on the shop floor.
